Nolvadex: Antiestrogen Medication
Nolvadex is an antiestrogen medication that belongs to the group sex hormones which is commonly used by male and female bodybuilders. But this drug should not be mistaken as an anabolic steroid.
Nolvadex is indicated as an effective treatment of certain breast cancer in both men and women. With the use of this drug it is very possible to reverse the growth of a deceased tissue therefore preventing further growth.
Since the body has a large number of estrogen receptors, the growth of certain tissues are easily stimulated making it possible for unwanted growth of breast glands.

As antiestrogen, Nolvadex works by blocking the estrogen receptors of the effected body tissue, therefore restraining a possible bonding between estrogens and receptor. It is, however, very vital to know that Nolvadex does not stop the aromatization but can only act as an estrogen antagonist. This simply means that Nolvadex does not prevent testosterone and its steroid compounds from converting into estrogens but only works against them like acting as competition for the estrogen receptors.
Nolvadex is also safe to use by those in strict diet because helps in the burning of fat. Although it has no direct fat-burning effect, the antiestrogenic capacity of Nolvadex contributes to keeping the estrogen level as low as possible therefore burning fats in the process.
